Ingredients

Serves : 8
  • Juicy Red Carrots 1 1/2 kg


  • Sugar 2 cups


  • Ghee 1 cup


  • Cashews chopped 1/2 cup


  • Cardamom powder 1 tsp


  • Amul fresh cream 1/4 cup


  • Full fat milk 1/2 litre


  • Mawa or khoya 3-4 tbsp

Directions

  • Wash and peel the carrots before chopping them up into small pieces.
  • Add them to a pressure cooker along with milk and cardamom powder.
  • Pressure cook for about 10 to 12 whistles.
  • After done, add sugar, cream, ghee and chopped nuts as desired.
  • Now saute on a medium to high heat until ghee starts leaving the sides.
  • Keep stirring and do not leave it unattended. Be careful about it as it splashes a lot during the whole process.
  • Serve hot or cold as loved by your kids. Add some crumbled mawa too for giving it that exclusive complimentary look.
