Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 4 flour tortillas


  • 1 can black beans


  • 1/2 cup Mexican hot salsa


  • 1-1/2 cup Shredded Mexican/cheddar cheese or as needed


  • 1-2 canned adobo chilies or 1 tsp tobasco sauce


  • 1 tsp garlic powder


  • 1 tsp onion powder


  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste


  • 1 tsp pepper or to taste


  • 1 tsp dried oregano


  • 1/2 cup fried turkey bacon, shredded to bits

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 Deg F (180 Deg C).
  • Drain the liquid from canned beans and wash thoroughly under running water.
  • Heat the canned beans in nonstick pan. Add the adobo chilies or tobasco along with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and herbs. Sauté and bring it to a simmer.
  • Cut round shapes from the tortillas large enough to fit in a muffin mould with a cookie cutter or simply use a sharp jar lid.
  • Spread salsa on the bottom, top with beans, and sprinkle cheese.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or till cheese just melts.
  • Remove from oven and serve warm garnished with bacon bits.
