Ingredients

  • Paneer cubes - 12-15


  • Banana leaves - 3


  • Mint leaves - 1 bunch


  • Coriander - 1 bunch


  • Chena dal - 0.5 cup


  • Garlic cloves - 6


  • Ginger - 5 small pieces


  • Green chillies - 5


  • Onions - 1 small


  • Lemon - 1


  • Mango jelly - 1 packet

Directions

  • Roast garlic cloves and chena dal
  • Put roasted garlic cloves, chena dal, coriander leaves, mint leaves, chillies, ginger, chopped onions and some water into a mixer and grind into fine paste.
  • Fry this paste in little oil to ensure that the rawness is gone.
  • Take paneer cubes make slits on it (for up to 80% of its length). Take a thin peel of mango jelly and slide it into the slit of paneer.
  • Dip these paneer cubes in the fried green paste. Place them in banana leaves cut into rectangles of enough size so that paneer cubes can be wrapped.
  • Fry the banana leaf wrapped paneer cubes in oil for 15mins.
  • The leaf packets can be removed and served as is in a plate, along with onion salad.
