Chutney Paneer

Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Paneer cubes - 12-15

  • Banana leaves - 3

  • Mint leaves - 1 bunch

  • Coriander - 1 bunch

  • Chena dal - 0.5 cup

  • Garlic cloves - 6

  • Ginger - 5 small pieces

  • Green chillies - 5

  • Onions - 1 small

  • Lemon - 1

  • Mango jelly - 1 packet

Directions

    Roast garlic cloves and chena dal

  • 02

    Put roasted garlic cloves, chena dal, coriander leaves, mint leaves, chillies, ginger, chopped onions and some water into a mixer and grind into fine paste.

    Fry this paste in little oil to ensure that the rawness is gone.

    Take paneer cubes make slits on it (for up to 80% of its length). Take a thin peel of mango jelly and slide it into the slit of paneer.

    Dip these paneer cubes in the fried green paste. Place them in banana leaves cut into rectangles of enough size so that paneer cubes can be wrapped.

    Fry the banana leaf wrapped paneer cubes in oil for 15mins.

    The leaf packets can be removed and served as is in a plate, along with onion salad.
