Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • Green chillies - 6


  • Curry leaves - 4-5 stems


  • Coriander - 2


  • Onions - 4 small


  • Chicken - 500gms


  • Garlic ginger paste - 2 spoons


  • Cloves - 2


  • Cinnamon stick- 1


  • Coriander powder- 2 spoons


  • Turmeric powder- 1 spoon


  • Salt - 2 or 3 spoons


  • Red chillies - 3


  • Curd - 3 spoons


  • Mustard seeds - 1 spoon


  • Cumin seeds- 2 spoons

Directions

  • Mix curd, turmeric, some salt and Ginger garlic paste and marinate the chicken. Keep it aside for 20mins.
  • Cut green chillies across the length. Heat oil in a pan. Fry coriander seeds, cut green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves. Saute for few mins and then grind this mix into a paste.
  • Grind some onions separately and fry it
  • Heat oil and fry thinly chopped onions.
  • Separately, heat oil and add red chillies, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, cinnamon sticks and cloves. fry until they crackle. Add cut onions and tomatoes. Add some turmeric. add Ginger garlic paste.and add onion paste too. Add chicken to this and after 5mins, add the green chilli paste. Add salt. Add grounded khus khus and cashews to this. Cook for 30 mins. Top it with some fried chillies and curry leaves before serving.
  • No need to add any water, chicken has water. Use less oil. Salt quantity depends on your preference.
