Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 200 gms chana dal


  • 150 gms ghee


  • 200 gms mawa


  • 200 gms sugar


  • 1 cups milk


  • 20-25 nos cashews (cut 5-6 cashews into pieces)


  • 5 nos almonds chopped


  • 20-25 nos pistachios


  • 2 inch coconut coconut


  • 5 nos small cardamom(peel and grind it)

Directions

  • Clean the Chana Dal and soak it for 4-5 hours. Take soaked Dal and boil it in a cooker with 1/2 cup water for upto 1 whistle. After whistle cook it on a low flame for 2 minutes. Turnoff the flame once the Chana Dal boils well.
  • Grind the Dal in a mixer without water.
  • Heat 1 cup oil in a pan, add grounded Dal in it. Stir it continuously with the ladle and roast till it turns brown and gives out the fragrance. Take out the roasted Dal in a separate bowl. Also roast the mawa until brown and keep it in a separate bowl.
