  • 1/2 cup toor dal overnight soaked & boiled

  • 1 onion chopped

  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste

  • 1 tsp Green chilli paste

  • 1/2 bunch dill leaves washed

  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • In a pan heat the oil, crackle the mustard and Cumin seeds.
  • Add chopped Onions saute until they turns golden brown colour.
  • Next add green chilli paste, Ginger garlic paste, mix well
  • After add turmeric powder and washed and finely chopped dill leaves stir well.
  • While leaves wilted add cooked dal and salt according to taste mix well
  • Cover and simmer for few minutes on low flame.
  • Enjoy with rice or roti.
