Soak the horse gram in water overnight.
In the morning wash and rub the dal in running water so that it is free of seed covering (chilka)
Then transfer to the mixi jar and grind it into a dry thick paste .
Grind it additionally adding green chilli, garlic and Ginger in the mixer.
Place a tawa on medium flame, put some oil.
Once oil is heat, make thick pancakes like Cutlets from the dal paste.
Use only half of the paste for making pancakes (Cutlets).
Now mix water with remaining paste making it pouring consistency.
After heat the oil in pan , add cumin seeds and hing.
Now add horse gram paste, turmeric powder, dry coriander powder and Salt according taste.
Cover and cook for about 10 minutes on low flame.
Add the horse gram cakes to the gravy and continue to simmer for another 10 mins.
The gravy should have pouring consistency. If too thick add some more water then heat until it boils.
Lastly add pure ghee and chopped coriander leaves.
Now enjoy with hot Steamed Rice.
