Soak white chickpeas overnight else for atleast 6 hours
Boil in pressure cooker till they become soft . keep them aside
Meanwhile chop fresh spinach ..i have taken frozen chopped spinach and boiled it in pressure cooker till one whistle only. keep them aside..
Now for the gravy masala . Chop onions into small pieces ..
In a wok , on a medium flame , add ghee ..add jeera and bay leaves
Allow them to splutter
Now add ginger garlic paste .stir it for a second till its raw smell fades away
Add chopped onions and caramalise them .
Add tomatoes chopped or its puree into this and saute them till it leaves the ghee
Add all spices and salt .mix it thoroughly
Add little water and adjust its consistency
Add boiled chànas and spinach . Also add green chillies whole .
Stir all the ingredients thoroughly
Add cream ..Again mix them throughly
Adjust its consistency by adding little water
Allow it to simmer for sometime and let the aroma of the spices get infused in the chana palak mix ..
Sprinkle garam Masala and crushed kasoori methi on it .
Your healthy , delicious , proteinaceous dish is ready to serve
