Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup split black gram


  • 1/2 cup split bengal gram


  • 1 cup chopped Fenugreek leaves


  • 1onion


  • 1inch ginger


  • 3..4 garlic cloves


  • 3 tomatoes


  • 1tsp salt


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder


  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/4 tsp hing


  • 2 tbsp ghee

Directions

  • Wash and soak both pulses for 15 minutes
  • Now boil adding 2 glasses of water,chopped methi leaves ,salt and turmeric powder for 3..4 whistles in pressure cooker
  • Meanwhile in another pan heat ghee
  • Add hing and cumin seeds
  • Shallow fry finely chopped onions and ginger garlic
  • Now add chopped tomatoes and fry well
  • Add chilli powder and garam masala powder
  • Mix this mixture in boiled daal
  • Cook for 5 minutes more on sim flame
