1 cup Whole black lentils (sabut urad)
1 tbsp Ginger paste
1 tbsp Garlic paste
1.1/2 cup tomato purée
1 tbsp Chilli powder
1 tbsp Roasted cumin seeds powder
1 cup Fresh cream
2 tsp Garam masala powder
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
150 gm butter
1 tsp oil
Salt to taste
In a mixing bowl take whole black lentils clean and wash thoroughly.
Add enough water and Soak it about 8-10 hours.
In a pressure cooker add soaked whole black lentils, salt, 1 tsp oil and water to boil until they are well cooked.
In another pan heat the 100 gm butter allow to melt it do not burn it
Add Ginger and Garlic paste stir well.
Now add tomato purée saute well they turns to thick consistency.
Next Add cooked whole urad, some water then mix well and allow to boil them.
When they starts boil add chilli powder, roasted cumin powder mix well.
Next add salt according to the taste and add 1 cup cream mix well.
Further Add Garam masala mix well.
Now boil it for 5 mins until they well combination with all together.
Lastly add fresh cream 1 tbsp and chopped coriander leaves.
Finally Dal Pakhtooni is ready. and Serve hot with Rice.
