Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 medium size Potato chopped


  • 4 carrot chopped


  • 1 cup boiled Green Peas


  • 1 medium size Onion chopped


  • 1 tomato finely chopped


  • 1 tsp chana dal


  • 3 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp Garam masala


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds


  • Few Curry leaves


  • salt according to the taste


  • 1 Pinch of hing


  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 2 green chilli chopped


  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste

Directions

  • Heat the oil in a kadai, splutter mustard and Cumin seeds, add pinch of hing, Curry leaves,.
  • Next add chana dal, Ginger garlic paste, Green chilli chopped saute well.
  • After add finely chopped onion stir fry them till the colour changes.
  • Further more add finely chopped tomato saute till they turns mushy.
  • Next add spices turmeric powder, chilli powder, Garam masala saute until they becomes aromatic.
  • Now add chopped carrot and potato then add 1 cup water mix well.
  • Cover and cook till they becomes soft.
  • Now add boiled Peas, chopped coriander leaves, and salt according to taste mix well.
  • Close the lid and simmer for few seconds.
  • Now serve Gajar Aloo matar ki sabzi with chapati, rice etc
