Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 3/4 cup moong dal


  • 1/4 cup peanut butter


  • 3 tbsp olive oil


  • 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 tbsp desi ghee


  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour


  • 1/2 tsp baking powder


  • 1/2 tsp baking soda


  • 1 tsp vanilla essence


  • 2 tbsp dried berries chopped


  • 1 tbsp coffee powder


  • 1 pinch of salt


  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon powder


  • For Glazed, 1/2 cup fresh cream


  • 1 tbsp coffee powder


  • 1/2 cup brown sugar


  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter


  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts


  • 1 tbsp extra roasted peanuts coarsaly crushed for crunch

Directions

  • First heat ghee in a pan and roast moong dal till pleasant smell comes
  • when done wash and soaked for atleast 2 hours or till nicely soft
  • When nicely soaked drained water and transfer in grinding jar and make smooth paste and keep aside
  • Take melted butter and sugar in mixing bowl.and mix till sugar melt
  • Now add Peanut butter and moon dal paste and mix well
  • Sieve the flour with baking soda and baking powder
  • mix the dry ingredients in wet ingredients and mix
  • Add vanilla extract, pinch of salt and cinnamon powder and mix
  • mix chopped berries with some dry flour add and mix
  • Pour better in already greased pan and bake this in preheated at 180* for 25 to 30 minutes or done
  • For Glazed, Take coffee powder in a cup add 2 tbsp hot water to make coffee decoction
  • Now caramelized the brown sugar and add fresh cream on low flame and mix well
  • Take roasted peanuts in grinding jar and make fine powder
  • Now add coffee decoction and peanuts powder in this and stir
  • Finally add butter and remaining crushed peanuts in this and stir
  • Pour the coffee sauce over top of Moong dal blondey
  • When it's cool down, sprinkle some crushed roasted peanuts over the top , cut in pieces and serve
  • Now Moong dal Blondey with peanut sauce is ready to serve
