Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1 cup basmati rice


  • 1 cup boiled black gram


  • 1 spoon ginger - garlic paste


  • 1 onion chopped


  • 1 green chilli chopped


  • 4 spoon ghee


  • 1/2 spoon cumin


  • 2-3 cloves


  • 2 green cardamom


  • 1 bay leaf


  • 1" cinnamon


  • 1 spoonSalt


  • 1/2 spoon turmeric


  • 1/2 spoon red chilli powder


  • 1/2 spoon coriander powder


  • 1/4 spoon


  • 2 spoon chopped coriander leaves

Directions

  • Wash and soak the rice for 1/2 hrs.
  • Now heat a cooker put ghee, cumin, bayleaves, cloves, cinnamon sticks, green cardamom saute for few seconds than add chopped green chilli, ginger - garlic paste and onion.
  • Saute them till pinkis in colour then add boiled black gram, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder and coriander powder mix well.
  • Now add soaked rice and saute for 5- 6 min then add 2 cups of water and close the lid take 2 whistle.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with rayta.
