Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • Rice ravva 1cup


  • Sweetcorn 1/4th cup


  • Greenpeas 3tsp


  • Green chillies slit 3


  • Dried red chillies 4


  • Curry leaves 1 sprig


  • Ginger grated 1tsp


  • Mustard seeds 1/2tsp


  • Cumin seeds 1/2tsp


  • Urad dal 1/2tsp


  • Oil 5tsp


  • Water 2.25cups


  • Salt to taste 1tsp


  • Coriander leaves chopped 1tsp

Directions

  • Heat a vessel,add 3tsp oil.
  • Add cuminseeds,mustardseeds,uraddal
  • Now add curry leaves,green and red chillies
  • Add grated ginger.fry them in low flame
  • Now add sweet corn and green peas.saute for 2minutes.
  • Now add water to it
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Boil well
  • Lower flame,add rice ravva.stir well till it thickens and forms like upma
  • Now off the flame and close lid for 10mins
  • After 10mins open lid add 2tsp oil on top and close lid and place in pressure cooker
  • Give 3 whistles,off flame and keep for halfen hour in cooker.
  • After that open lid and mix well,check it shouldnt be sticky,it should separate well.
  • Healthy recipe ready.Goes well with tomato chutney,curd or pickle.
  • Tips - water for rice ravva depends on grain size of the ravva.
