Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 cup moong Dal (soak in water for 2hours)


  • 1 onion chopped


  • 1 tomato chopped


  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste


  • 1 tsp salt or as per taste


  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder


  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder


  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves


  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds


  • 5 tablespoons cooking oil

Directions

  • Heat oil in deep wok n splutter cumin seeds.
  • Add onion n saute till the color change.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste n saute for minutes.
  • Add tomato, salt n all spices, mix well, add little water in mixture n cook till the oil start floating all over masala.
  • Add soaked dal in mixture with little water n dried fenugreek leaves, now cover the lid n cook for 15 minutes on low flame in between keep sauteing.
  • Switch off the flame. Masale wali moong dal is ready to serve. Serve this with chapati or rice.
