  • 1/2 cup-moong dal(chilke wali)

  • 250 gm-spinach finely chopped

  • 1/2 tsp-turmaric powder

  • 1/2 tsp- red chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp-corriender powder

  • 1/2tsp-hing

  • 1/2 tsp-cumin seed

  • 1 tsp-ginger and green chilli chopped

  • 1/2 tsp-garam masala powder

  • 1 tbsp-ghee

  • 1 tsp- salt or as required

  • 2 cup- water or as required

    Wash the moong dal and spinach under the running water very well.

    Heat ghee into the cooker. Add hing and cumin seeds. When its crackled add chopped green chilli and ginger. Cook for a second .

    Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,corriender powder and garam masala powder into it. Roast the masala until the ghee starts to flow at the top. Add moong dal and spinach into the masala and cook for a minute.add salt to taste.

    Add 2-3 cup of water and close the lid of cooker. Pressure the cooker for 2-3 whistle. Off the flame.

    When the pressure is over open the lid. Mix well. You can add water if required.

    Moong dal with spinach is ready to serve. Serve with rice or roti .
