Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 cup chana dal


  • 2 medium sized onion chopped


  • 1 inch ginger


  • 4-5 cloves garlic


  • 2 green chilli


  • 2-3 tsp chopped coriander leaves


  • 5-6 curry leaves


  • 1/2 tsp Salt or as per taste


  • 1 cup Oil for deep frying

Directions

  • Soak the Chana dal for 2hours in water.
  • Grind the dal along with ginger, garlic and chilli to make a roughly paste.
  • Then add chopped onion, curry leaves, coriander leaves and salt in it and mix it well.
  • Heat a Kadai and put oil in it.
  • Make small vadas with your hand and then dip fry them in oil till golden brown on both the sides.
  • Now your chana dal vadas are ready. Serve hot with any ketchup.
