Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 cup green moong


  • 1/4 tsp salt


  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder


  • 1 cup oil for deep frying


  • 50 gm jaggery


  • 1 pinch baking soda

Directions

  • Wash and soak the green moong for minimum 3 hours.
  • Then grind them to make a smooth batter by adding a little water in it.
  • The batter must be thick like dropping consistency.
  • Mix it with your hand or spatula to make it fluppy and keep it aside for 30-45 minutes.
  • Then mix salt, baking soda in it and mix it well.
  • Heat a Kadai with oil and drop small amount of batter in it for making the boras in medium flame.
  • Heat another pan and put Jaggery in it and allow it to melt completely and switch off the flame.
  • Then add the fried boras in it and mix it well.
  • Now your green moong ras boras are ready to serve.
