Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 2 cups idli batter


  • 2-3 tsp semolina


  • 1 cup chopped green onion


  • 1 tsp crushed ginger chilli


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 8-10 curry leaves


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • Optional If required add 1 pinch of baking soda


  • 1 cup oil for deep frying

Directions

  • Add semolina into the idli batter and rest it for 10 minutes.
  • Then add rest of the ingredients except oil in it.
  • Heat a Kadhai and put oil in it.
  • Then deep fry them by making small fritters.
  • Now your green onion punugullu is ready.
  • Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
