Serves 4

  • 1 cup Plain flour (Maida)

  • 1/4 cup Urad dal soaked

  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda

  • 1 Pinch of Orange food colour/yellow food colour

  • Water as needed

  • Oil to deep fry

  • (2) For sugar syrup :-

  • 1.1/2cup sugar

  • 1.1/2 cup water

  • 1 tsp cardamom powder

  • 4 - 5 kesar

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

    In a mixing bowl take plain flour, baking soda, and food colour mix well

  • 02

    Now take 2 hour soaked urad dal then transfer to the blender and add needed little water to make a smooth paste.

    Further add grinded paste into the flour mixture and mix well untill all ingredients well combined.

    If need add more water but do not make too thick or too thin, it should be medium smooth consistency batter.

    Now take ketchup bottle or jilebi maker pour the batter into it..

    Next heat the oil in deep vessel, make a desired shapes jilebi in hot oil . fry them both sides till crisp and nice colour.

    For sugar syrup :- in a vessel add equal portion of sugar and water boil it for 5 mins till sugar dissolved, stir continuously about another few minutes until it becomes 1 string consistency.

    After add kesar, cardamom powder and 1 tsp lemon juice mix well. keep it aside

    Further more put the fried jilebi's into warm sugar syrup . Leave them for atleast 5 -6 mins. after remove from syrup .

    Finally enjoy the Delicious instant urad dal jilebi's..
