Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1/2 kg Field Bean's (Avarekalu)


  • 2 medium size finely Chopped onion


  • 1 tomato finely chopped


  • 1 medium size potato finely chopped


  • 1 tsp lemon juice


  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves chopped


  • (2). To Grind Masala


  • 2 tbsp fresh coconut grated


  • 2 tsp cumin seeds


  • 3-5 cloves


  • 1 tsp poppy seeds (optional)


  • 1/2 onion diced


  • 3-4 garlic flakes


  • 4-6 Green chilli


  • (3). To Tempering


  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds


  • 1 tsp urad daal


  • 1 pieces red dried chilli


  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder


  • Few Curry leaves

Directions

  • Firstly separate the seeds from the fresh Bean's, soaked peeled Bean's in water for 3-5 hour's.
  • Then discard water from the Bean's and hold each bean in-between 2 finger's press, gently the outer skin will slip off , leaving behind only the inner seed continue the process to all the seeds.
  • Now heat the oil in pan, add mustard seeds, and urad dal. When they starts to splitter add broken chilli, Curry leaves, turmeric powder.
  • Next add finely chopped onion fry till they becomes golden brown then add field Bean's, & potato saute for 2-3 mins.
  • Next add chopped tomato and cook the veggies with some salt cooked in pressure cooker for 1 whistles.
  • Then add grinded smooth masala paste to the cooked veggies.
  • Then add salt to taste and water as needed mix well. now allow it to boil
  • When it boils it thickens a bit, if required add water to get the desired consistency.
  • Finally add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves mix well and serve with chapati, puri etc.
