Combine the flour and oil in a bowl and knead into soft dough using enough water.
Divide the dough in to equal portions and keep aide.
Filling;:- Dissolve the saffron in a 2tsp water in a bowl and keep a side for 15 minutes.
Combine the dal with water in a pressure cooker mix well and pressure cook for 3-4 whistle.
Heat the ghee in a broad non stick pan add the dal and sugar mix well.
Cook on a medium flame for till the mixture thickens while stirring continuously and mashing at regular intervals.
Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. Cool slightly and divide it into equal portions.
Roll out one portion of the dough into a circle using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.
Place a portion of the filling in the center and fold edges of the dough over filling, pinch the edges together to seal the filling.
Flatten the dough and roll again into a circle using a little whole wheat flour fo rolling.
Cook on a tawa over a medium flame put chapati on top apply ghee both side roast it nice till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides.
Smear a little ghee on each puran poli and serve hot.
