Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • Banana Stem - 1 cup


  • Green Gram - 100 gm


  • Big Onion - 1


  • Mustard - 1/2 tsp


  • Red chillies - 2


  • Curry leaves - 2


  • Cumin - 1/2 tsp


  • Garlic - 1 full


  • Green Chillies - 2


  • Coconut - 1/2


  • Turmeric Powder- 1 tsp


  • Salt - 2 or 3 tsp


  • Oil - 3 tbsp

Directions

  • Add 3 tbsp of oil in a pan and add some mustard, 2 red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Cut the big onion into small pieces and add into it.
  • After it become brownish, add the banana stem which is cut in small pieces.
  • Add salt as per your choice and cook for 20 mins.
  • At that time we can cook our green grams in a pressure cooker with some water and salt.
  • Put the green grams in water for some time, so there is only need of one vessel.
  • After it is ready, add it to the banana stem mixture.
  • Take a mixer, add 1/2 coconut, 2 green chillies, some turmeric powder, cumin, and garlic.
  • Mix all the ingredients well
  • Add it to green gram and banana stem mixture and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Green Gram Banana Stem is ready to serve.
