Ingredients

Serves 5

  • Banana Stem - 1 cup

  • Green Gram - 100 gm

  • Big Onion - 1

  • Mustard - 1/2 tsp

  • Red chillies - 2

  • Curry leaves - 2

  • Cumin - 1/2 tsp

  • Garlic - 1 full

  • Green Chillies - 2

  • Coconut - 1/2

  • Turmeric Powder- 1 tsp

  • Salt - 2 or 3 tsp

  • Oil - 3 tbsp

Directions

    Add 3 tbsp of oil in a pan and add some mustard, 2 red chillies and curry leaves.

    Cut the big onion into small pieces and add into it.

  • 03

    After it become brownish, add the banana stem which is cut in small pieces.

    Add salt as per your choice and cook for 20 mins.

    At that time we can cook our green grams in a pressure cooker with some water and salt.

    Put the green grams in water for some time, so there is only need of one vessel.

    After it is ready, add it to the banana stem mixture.

  • 08

    Take a mixer, add 1/2 coconut, 2 green chillies, some turmeric powder, cumin, and garlic.

    Mix all the ingredients well

    Add it to green gram and banana stem mixture and cook for 5 minutes.

    Green Gram Banana Stem is ready to serve.
