Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cup toor dal


  • 1 cup lentil


  • 1 onion chopped


  • 2 tomato chopped


  • 4 garlic cloves


  • 1 sprig curry leaves


  • 1 tsp mustard


  • 1 tsp red chilly powder


  • 2 green chillies


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1/2 tsp haldi


  • 2 tbsp oil


  • 150 gram chopped palak


  • 2 tsp turmeric pulp


  • 1 tsp jaggery

Directions

  • Cook toor daal, lentil, 1 tomato chopped and palak for 2 whistles
  • Heat oil and add mustard
  • Add garlic and when it turns brown add curry leaves and chillies
  • Add onion and salt.
  • Add tomatoes when onion turn brown and when tomato turn mushy add seasoning and spices
  • Mash the dal or stir with stirer
  • Transfer it into the kadai and mix well.
  • Add some water if required
  • Add 2 tsp turmeric pulp and some jaggery
  • Bring to boil and serve
