  • black lentils 100 gm


  • rice 150 gm


  • clearified butter 5 to 6 tspn


  • onian 1


  • salt 1to 2 tspn


  • garlic 4 to 6 buds


  • cloves 4


  • water 2 cup

Directions

  • soak lentils and rice for 5 minuets separately
  • in a cooler add 3 tspn clearified butter . add cloves .
  • add chopped onion fry it for 3 minuets
  • wash lentils and rice well add it to cooker .
  • add 2 tspn salt
  • add 2 cup water
  • mix well and let it cook for 2 whistles
  • make a tempering of clearified butter and chopped garlic . spread it over khichdi .
  • serve with salad curd papadum and pickles
