soak lentils and rice for 5 minuets separately
in a cooler add 3 tspn clearified butter . add cloves .
add chopped onion fry it for 3 minuets
wash lentils and rice well add it to cooker .
add 2 tspn salt
add 2 cup water
mix well and let it cook for 2 whistles
make a tempering of clearified butter and chopped garlic . spread it over khichdi .
serve with salad curd papadum and pickles
