Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1 cup chana daal


  • 1 cun moong daal


  • 1 tomato


  • 1 tsp garlic paste


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/4 tsp hing


  • 2 tsp or to taste salt


  • 2 tsp oil


  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1/4 tsp jeera


  • 1 cup wheat flour


  • 1 cup sooji


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 1/4 tsp carrom seeds


  • 1/4 tsp baking powder


  • 2 tsp curd


  • 2 tsp ghee


  • 1 cup oil

Directions

  • Soak daal for at least 20 minutes in water.
  • Ina cooker keep water to boil.
  • As soon as water starts boiling, add turmeric powder, salt, garlic oil and add daal. Pressure cooker it till 3 whistles.
  • Add chopped tomato
  • Prepare tempring. In a tadka pan, take oil. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. After it crackle, add hing. Add this tadka to daal and let it boil for some time.
  • To prepare baafla, prepare a dough. Mix wheat flour, sooji, ghee, curd, salt, baking powder and prepare a dough.
  • Cover it and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  • Give shape of balls.
  • In a large vessel keep water for boiling. After it get boiled, add prepared balls one by one.
  • Initially, it will sink. After it will get cooked properly, it will float on the surface of vessel.
  • Remove it from water, drain access water. Shallow fry it in oil
  • Serve hot daal with bafla.
