Ingredients

Serves 6

  • 1. For Pitha :-

  • 2 tsp Ghee

  • 1/2 cup Moong dal

  • 1 1/2 cup Water

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 cup Rice flour

  • Oil for frying

  • 2. For Sugar syrup

  • 1 1/2 cup Sugar

  • 1 1/2 cup water

  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder

Directions

    Take the pressure cooker add 1 tsp ghee and roast 1/2 cup moong dal.

    Now add 1 cup water and 1 cup milk

  • 03

    Pressure cook for 4 whistles on medium flame. Then whisk the dal smooth.

    Add 1/2 cup water and stir well to form a smooth consistency.

  • 05

    Now add 1 cup Rice flour and stir well.

    Keep stirring until the mixture starts to separate from pan

  • 07

    Add 1 tsp Ghee and continue to mix. mix until a non-sticky dough is formed separating the pan easily.

    Pinch a small ball size dough and shape it. With the help of toothpick as shown in the picture.

    Deep fry until it turns golden brown. for sugar syrup :- in a deep large vessel add sugar and water mix well and boil it for 5 mins. after add cardamom powder mix well. and keep aside

    now Drop them into warm sugar syrup and rest for 2 hours before serving moongdal pitha.

  • 11

    After 2 hours enjoy Moong dal pitha garnished with dryfruits...
