1cup-masoor dal(soaked 1 hour)
2 potatoes-boiled and peeled
1 tsp-cumin seed
1 -onion chopped
4 -cloves garlic chopped
1 tsp-ginger-green chilli chopped
1 tsp-turmaric powder
1 tsp-red chilli powder
2 tsp-garam masala powder
1 tsp-salt or to taste
2 tbsp-oil or as required
-cook soaked masoor dal with 2 cups of water in pressure cooker. After 2-3 whistle allow the pressure to release naturally. Drain out excess water.
Mash the masoor dal with boiled potatoes and mix well.
Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan.add cumin seed. When its crackled add chopped ginger,green chilli,garlic and saute. Add chopped onion and saute until translucent. Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,garam masala powder and salt to taste and mix everything well.
Add mashed potatoes and masoor dal mixture. Keep stirring until they combine together. Switch off the flame. Once the mixture is cool down take a little portion of the mixture and make a round shape. Do the same from rest of the mixture.
Heat a nonstick pan with 2 tsp oil and add the prepared Kebabs slowly. Shallow fry evenly all the sides until it's crispy. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or green chutney and onion rings.
