Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 2 cup chawli


  • 1 tsp Ginger-garlic paste


  • 1 tsp chilli powder


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 2 tsp dhania geera powder


  • 2 tsp salt


  • 2 tsp oil


  • 1 tsp carrom seeds


  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1/2 tsp hing


  • 1 tsp jaggery


  • 2 tsp lemon juice


  • 2 tsp coriander


  • 2 nos kokum

Directions

  • Soak chawli beans in water for, atleast 6 hrs.
  • Boil it for 5 whistles with required quantity of water. Add salt while boiling it.
  • In a pan, take oil. Add mustard seeds and carrom seeds. Let it crackle.
  • Add hing, ginger garlic paste.
  • Now add chilli powder, dhania jeera powder and turmeric powder.
  • Add chawli, water, salt, jaggery, kukum and give it a good mix.
  • Let it simmer till you get desired consistency.
  • Add lemon juice and sprinkle some fresh coriander on top.
  • Serve it with rice and/or roti.
