Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • Green gram 1 cup


  • Water 1 1/2 cup


  • Salt 1 tbsp


  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon


  • Coconut grated 1 1/4 cups


  • Green chilli 5 nos


  • Garlic 1 teaspt


  • Ginger 1/2 teaspoon


  • Jeera 1 pinch


  • Mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon


  • Curry leaves 1 spring


  • Shallot 6 nos


  • Coconut oil 1 tbsn

Directions

  • Clean green gram and add it in pressure cooker add salt turmeric powder and water
  • Pressure cook on medium flame for two minutes
  • Crush garlic, ginger, greenchilli well and add grated coconut and pinch jeera and crush it just to blend everything
  • Heat oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds and add currry leaves,. Add shallots and saute it until soft and translucent
  • Add crushed micture to the pan and saute for a couple of minutes
  • Then add cooked greengram, taste and add salt as requires
