Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup black chana


  • 1 tsp baking soda


  • 6-7 tomatoes


  • 4 green chillis


  • 4 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1 pinch asafotida


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 tbsp salt

Directions

  • Soak chana overnight
  • In a cooker add 1 tsp baking Powder, soaked chana, and cook till one whistle.
  • While releasing the pressure make a paste with tomato and green chillis.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, asafotida and turmeric Powder.
  • Now add tomato paste and roast well.
  • Add salt and boiled chana. Cook for 1 boil on low flame.
  • Turn off the gas.
  • Serve hot with chapati.
