Wash the daal and add 4 cup of water. Cook till one whistle.
Meanwhile make a paste of tomatoes and green chillis.
Heat ghee in a pan and crackle cumin seeds, asafotida and turmeric powder.
Now add tomato paste and roast untill it starts to leave the pan.
Now add boiled daal and salt. Cook for 1 boil and turn off the gas.
Transfer in serving bowl and garnish with green coriander.
Daal is ready to Serve.
