Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup toor daal


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder


  • 2 tbsp desi ghee


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1 pinch asafotida


  • 1 tbsp salt


  • 4-5 tomatoes


  • 2-3 green chillis

Directions

  • Wash the daal and add 4 cup of water. Cook till one whistle.
  • Meanwhile make a paste of tomatoes and green chillis.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and crackle cumin seeds, asafotida and turmeric powder.
  • Now add tomato paste and roast untill it starts to leave the pan.
  • Now add boiled daal and salt. Cook for 1 boil and turn off the gas.
  • Transfer in serving bowl and garnish with green coriander.
  • Daal is ready to Serve.
