Ingredients

  • Urad dal...1/2cup


  • Ragi flour...1/2cup


  • Wheat flour...1/2cup


  • Milk powder...3tbspn


  • Vanilla essence...3drops


  • Baking powder...1tspn


  • Baking soda...1/2tspn


  • Jaggery powder...1cup


  • Milkmaid...3tbspn


  • Oil...1/2cup


  • Salt...500gm


  • Cashew nuts & raisin...50gm


  • White vinegar...1tbspn


  • Chocolate powder...2tbspn


  • Milk...1cup

Directions

  • At first soak the dal in water for an hour & then make a paste of it.
  • Now in a mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients ragi flour, wheat flour, chocolate powder, baking powder, baking soda, pinch of salt, jaggery powder & milk powder.Mix it well.
  • In another bowl combine dal paste, oil, milkmaid, white vinegar & vanilla essence. Mix it to the flour mixture.Add milk & make a smooth paste of it.
  • Chop some cashew nuts. Add chopped cashew nuts & soaked raisin to the cake mixture.
  • Now put salt & one stand in a kadhai .Cover it & preheat it in medium heat for 10 minutes.
  • Grease a cake tin with butter & sprinkle flour in it.
  • Pour the cake batter in cake tin & place it in kadhai.
  • Cover it & bake it for 5 minutes in high flame.After 5 minutes, open the lid & decorate the top of the cake with some cashew nuts & raisin & close the lids.Then in low flame bake it for 45 to 50 minutes more.
  • After that insert a toothpick & check.If the toothpick is clear then cake is ready.If not then bake it for 5 to 10 minutes more.
  • Very healthy, tasty cake is ready now.
