Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 cup yellow moong dal


  • 1/2 cup ghee


  • 3 cup milk


  • 3/4 cup sugar or as per taste


  • 2 spoon chopped dry fruits


  • 1/4 spoon cardamom powder

Directions

  • Wash and Soak the moong dal for 4-5 hrs then grind coarsely.
  • Now heat a nonstick pan put ghee and grinded moong dal roast till fragrant and brown in colour.
  • Stir continously to avoid from sticking.
  • Add milk and stir continously till all the milk absorbed and dal is cooked through.
  • Now add sugar , cardamom powder and few chopped nuts and mix well.
  • The halwa should start leaving the ghee off the edges. Switch off the flame.
  • Moong dal halwa is ready to serve.
