Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1.5 cup Masoor dal


  • 1 cup chopped onion


  • 1.5inch ginger


  • 3-4green chilli


  • 10-12 curry leaves


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tsp salt or as per required


  • 1 cup oil for deep frying

Directions

  • Wash and soak Masoor dal for 1 hour.
  • Then from the soak dal keep 2 tsp dal aside and make a batter from the rest of the dal.
  • Mix rest of the ingredients except oil in its batter.
  • Heat a Kadai with oil and deep fry the batter by making small fritters from it.
  • Now Masoor dal pakoda are ready.
  • Serve hot with ketchup and a cup of tea.
