For Making soya chaap:-1 Cup soya bean
1 Cup soya granules
1 Cup maida
1 1/2 Tsp salt
For Marination:-1 cup curd
1/2 Cup malai
1 Tbsp beasn
1 Tbsp besan
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp Coriander powder.
2 tsp Red chili powder
1 tsp Garam masala
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder.
1 tsp Chaat Masala
2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Oil
Steps for preparing soya chaap:-
Take 1 cup soya bean and properly wash under tap water.
Soak washed soya bean in a big pan/pressure cooker along with 4 cups of water,cover the lid and soak over night.
Next day drain water from the soya bean,and wash under fresh water.Place washed soya bean in colander and keep aside for few minutes so that excess water is drained.
Meanwhile add 1 cup of soya granules to hot water,cover and keep aside for 20 minutes.
Add drained soya bean to mixer jar and grind.Scrap the sides of jar add 1-2 tbsp of water to form smooth paste.
Make sure not to use more water while making paste,remove smooth paste in a bowl .
Drain soya granules,with the help of spatula squeeze excess water from granules and add drained soya granules to mixer jar and grind to paste.
Scrap the sides of jar and grind again to make smooth paste without adding water.
In a big bowl add soya bean paste,soya granule paste and 1 1/2 tsp salt.
Add small amount of maida at a time and start making dough.Do not add water while kneading dough.
Add 1 tsp of oil and knead again to form a soft smooth dough.
Take a deep pan fill it half way with water and bring to boil.
While water is boiling,take a small ball from the dough,dust with little maida and start rolling.
While rolling apply very little amount of maida to roll into thin chapati.With sharp knife cut chapati into thin strips
Take a ice cream stick and wrap one strip on it.Now wrap second strip on the first one and seal properly at the end.
Same way prepare all the soya chaaps with remaining dough.
Put prepared chaaps in boiling water and cook .It will take approximately 2 -2 1/2 minutes.
Once they start floating,take them out from hot water,immediately transfer cooked chaaps into cold water,let it stand for 5 minutes in cold water.
After 5 minutes drain cooked chaaps in colander. Soya chaaps are ready.These can be stored in freezer in zip lock bag for a month.
Steps for preparing soya chaap tikka:-
Add 1 cup curd,1/2 cup malai,1 tbsp besan in a bowl.
Now add 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste,garam masala,coriander powder,chaat masala powder, 2 tsp salt,chilli powder,1/2 tsp turmeric powder and mix everything well.
Heat non -stick pan over low heat and apply 1 tsp oil.
Apply marination on chaaps and cook on medium-low heat.
After few minutes flip and cook on other side.Flip the chaaps 2-3 time for even cooking.
Soya chaaps are ready.Serve chaaps with some sliced onions.
