Ingredients

Serves 6

  • 1. 1/2 cup moong dal

  • 1/2 cup Peas

  • 1 medium size Chopped Tomato

  • 1 medium size Chopped Onion

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1 medium size cucumber chopped

  • 2 carrot roughly chopped

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp Garam masala

  • 2 tsp sambar powder

  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste

  • Few Curry leaves

  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

  • 2 tbsp red chilli powder

  • salt to taste

  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

  • pinch of asafoetida

Directions

    Firstly soak the moong dal and peas atleast 4-6 hours

  • 02

    After 5 hours wash the dal throughly, and add roughly chopped carrot, tomato, cucumber, pinch of salt, pinch of turmeric , 2 glass of water and 1 tsp oil then cook it till dal is smoothly well cooked.

    Now heat the oil in pan, add mustard and cumin seeds allow it to splutter them. Then add Curry leaves, hing, chopped onions, Ginger garlic paste, saute well for few minutes.

    Further add turmeric powder, and red chilli powder stir for few seconds after add cooked dal , veg mixture to it.

    Next add all masala powder like cumin, coriander, Garam masala and sambar powder mix well with all. and boil for about 5 minutes

    Finally add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
