Soak the dal for 15 minutes with enough water.Then drain the water & make a paste of it.
Add salt, chopped green chilli & onion with dal .
Heat enough oil in a kadhai & make small pakodas from dal mixture.
Now heat 2tspn oil in a kadhai .Add curry leaves, dry red chilli , cloves, cinnamon stick & cardamon.Fry for few minutes.
Then add chopped onion, tomato & ginger garlic paste.Cook for few minutes.
Add salt & all spices.
Now add boiled & slightly fried potato cubes in the mixture & cook for few minutes.Add 2 glass of water now, cover it & let it cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
Finally add dal pakodas, garam masala & boil it few more minutes.
Serve it with roti or parantha.
