Wash and soak dal and rice for 15 minutes
Cook in pressure cooker adding salt, turmeric powder , grated lauki and chopped beans for 2 whistles
After releasing the pressure make tempering by heating ghee in a tadka pan and crackle cumin seeds, mustard seeds, heeng, curry leaves, chopped ginger and chopped chillies
Add this tadka to boiled khichdi
Serve hot with raita,papad and pickle
