Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1/2 cup split yellow lentils(moong dhuli dal)


  • 1/2 cup rice


  • 100 gram bottleguard


  • 8..10 green beans


  • 1 inch ginger


  • 1 green chilli


  • 1 red chilli


  • 1tsp salt


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 7..8 curry leaves


  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1/4 tsp hing


  • 2 cups water


  • 1 tbsp ghee

Directions

  • Wash and soak dal and rice for 15 minutes
  • Cook in pressure cooker adding salt, turmeric powder , grated lauki and chopped beans for 2 whistles
  • After releasing the pressure make tempering by heating ghee in a tadka pan and crackle cumin seeds, mustard seeds, heeng, curry leaves, chopped ginger and chopped chillies
  • Add this tadka to boiled khichdi
  • Serve hot with raita,papad and pickle
