Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup moong Dhuli Daal


  • 1 cup rice


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 2 tbsp desi ghee


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 2 whole red chilli


  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

Directions

  • Wash the rice and daal and transfer in cooker.
  • Add 9 cups of water, salt and turmeric powder. Mix well.
  • Cook for one whistle and turn off the gas. Wait to release the pressure.
  • Pour the khichdi in serving bowl.
  • Heat desi ghee in tadka pan. Crackle cumin seeds, whole chilli and turn off the gas. Now add red chilli powder and stir lightly.
  • Now pour the tadka on serving bowl.
  • It is ready to serve hot.
