Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 1 cup moong Dhuli Daal

  • 1 cup rice

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp desi ghee

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • 2 whole red chilli

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

Directions

    Wash the rice and daal and transfer in cooker.

    Add 9 cups of water, salt and turmeric powder. Mix well.

  • 03

    Cook for one whistle and turn off the gas. Wait to release the pressure.

    Pour the khichdi in serving bowl.

  • 05

    Heat desi ghee in tadka pan. Crackle cumin seeds, whole chilli and turn off the gas. Now add red chilli powder and stir lightly.

    Now pour the tadka on serving bowl.

    It is ready to serve hot.
