Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1 cup moong dal soaked for half hour


  • 1 bunch of dill/shepu/sabsige greens


  • 1 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds


  • 1 sprig curry leaf


  • 2 green chillies


  • 1/4 tsp hing


  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  • Add the soaked moong dal to a cooker and pressure cook for 3 whistles. It should be cooked but not mushy
  • Remove and drain
  • In a pan heat oil
  • Add the mustard seeds and let them splutter
  • Add hing curry leaves and slit green chillies
  • Add the chopped dill leaves and fry well till it wilts
  • Add the moong dal to the pan. Add 1/4 cup water and cook covered till it is all combined
  • Check for salt before serving hot with ghee phulkas for a healthy lunch/dinner.
