Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • Moong dal 150 grams


  • Chopped spinach 200 grams


  • Chopped onion 1


  • Chopped garlic 7 cloves


  • Chopped ginger 1/2 tsp


  • Tomato 1 chopped


  • Oil 2 tbsp


  • Jeera 1 tsp


  • Hing 1 pinch


  • Bay leaf 1


  • Ghee 1 tbsp


  • Turmeric powder 1/4tsp


  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp


  • Salt 1 tsp

Directions

  • In a pressure cooker add dal spinach and water. Add salt and turmeric powder.
  • Cook for 3 whistles
  • Let the pressure release.
  • In a pan heat oil
  • Add jeera and hing
  • Add bay leaf
  • Add onion ginger and garlic. Cook till onions are done
  • Add tomatoes and cook till mushy
  • Add red chilli powder and mix well
  • Add the dal spinach
  • Add ghee and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes
  • Serve with chapatis or rice
