Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 cup urad daal


  • 1 cup water


  • 1 tbsp salt


  • 2 cups oil for deep fry


  • 1 pinch baking soda

Directions

  • Take urad dal in a mixer and make fine powder
  • Transfer this into a bowl and add water gradually and.adjust consistency
  • Batter should be thick but not running
  • Now add salt, baking soda and mix well
  • Allow it to rest for 1hour
  • After hour heat oil in a kadai and on a plastic sheet make flatten batter in round shape
  • Now make a hole at the center this is because vada cooks well from inside
  • Fry till golden brown and serve hot
