Ingredients

Serves 4

  • 2 tbsp black gram lentils 2tbsp green gram lentils 2tbsp Bengal gram splits

  • 2 tbsp black gram split

  • 2 tomatoes

  • 2 green chillies

  • 1 inch ginger

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • 2 tbsp ghee

  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1 tsp kasoori methi

  • 1/4 tsp hing

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder

Directions

    Wash and soak all the lentils for 15minutes

  • 02

    Now add 1 glass water and salt and turmeric powder and let it cook in pressure cooker for 2 whistles

  • 03

    Turn off the flame and let the pressure release

  • 04

    Meanwhile heat ghee in a pan

  • 05

    Crackle cumin seeds and hing

  • 06

    Add chopped tomatoes and ginger

  • 07

    Add chilli powder, garam masala powder and kasoori methi

  • 08

    Fry till tomatoes are soft

  • 09

    Add this spice mixture in boiled lentils

  • 10

    Again cook for 5 minutes at sim flame

  • 11

    Turn off the flame and serve garnish with fresh cilantro
