Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 3/4th cups rice


  • 1/4th cup moong daal


  • 2 tbsp salt


  • 3 cups water


  • 1 tbsp tempering(jeera, mustard, urad dal)


  • 2 to 3 dried red chilly


  • 2 to 3 green chillies


  • 1 inch ginger finely chopped


  • 10 peppercorns crushed


  • 1 pinch turmeric powder


  • 10 cashew fried in ghee


  • 1 cup ghee


  • 1 stem curey leaves


  • 1/2 bunch coriander finely chopped

Directions

  • Take rice and moong daal and wash 2 times
  • In pressure cooker add the above with water, salt, turmeric powder, peppercorns, ginger and cook for 3 whistles
  • Later in other pan add ghee let it heat now add tempering and let them splatter
  • Now add curry leaves and fry them
  • Add this tempering to kichdi and garnish with fried cashew and coriander
