Soak black chickpeas for whole night or for minimum of 4hrs
Transfer them into a pressure cooker add salt, water and cook for 3 whistles
Later you can remove outer peel or you can continue with that
In a pan add oil/ghee and add ginger garlic paste
Saute for a minute now add onions, tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder and fry till they turn mushy
Now add tamarind pulp, chickpea and cook for 5min
After it start releasing oil add red chilly powder, jeera, coriander, garam masala, chaat masala
Saute for 2 to 3 min and add coriander
Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with onions and coriander and sprinkle light garam masala
If you wish you can add sweet and green chutney along with curd
