  • 1 cup chole

  • 3 cup basmati rice

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 2 cumin seeds

  • 2 tso chole masala

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder

  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste

  • 2 tsp dhania jeera powder

  • 2 tsp oil

  • 1 onion

  • 1 tomato

  • 3 tsp or as per taste salt


  • Soak chole in water for at least 6 hours. Boil it using cooker. Add salt while boiling chana.
  • Wash thoroughly and then Soak rice in water for 20 minutes at least.
  • In a cooker add oil, jeera and bay leaf. Saute it for a while. Now add chopped onions and add saute it till it gets cooked properly.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and saute it. Now also add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chole masala and dhania jeera powder and mix it properly.
  • Add rice, water, cooked chole and salt and now cover the lid of cooker and cook it until 2 whistle.
  • Release the pressure of cooker and Open the lid immediately after gas is switched off. Add lemon juice and mix properly.
  • Tasty and healthy chole pulav is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with salad, pickle and curd.
