Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • For Biscuits: 1-3/4 cups plain flour


  • 1 tbsp baking powder


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 1 tbsp dried parsley


  • 1 tsp onion powder


  • 1 tsp garlic powder


  • 1/3 cup cold butter


  • 3/4 cup milk ------------------------------------------------


  • For Gravy: 4 chicken sausages chopped


  • 3 tbsp butter


  • 3 tbsp plain flour


  • 2-3 finely minced garlic cloves


  • 1-1/2 cup milk


  • 1/2 cup cream


  • 1 tsp chili flakes


  • 1 tsp mixed herbs


  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


  • 1 tsp each salt and black pepper powder or to taste

Directions

  • Method for Biscuits: Preheat oven to 450 Deg F.
  • Combine flour, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and baking powder together. Give it a good whisk.
  • Cut butter in small cubes and rub it in the flour mixture till it resembles coarse breadcrumbs (its fine to see some clumps).
  • Add milk and stir the dough with fork till it comes together.
  • Transfer to a floured surface and knead the dough at least 20 times or until smooth.
  • Roll the dough into elongated log. Cut with floured knife or pizza cutter into 1/2" thick round pieces.
  • Place the biscuits in a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until golden in color (check the base of biscuit to prevent overbrowning). ------------------------------
  • Method for Gravy: Combine milk and cream together.
  • Heat butter in a saucepan.
  • Add garlic and sauté for few seconds without browning the garlic.
  • Add chicken sausages and stir fry till golden in color.
  • Add flour and keep stirring for a minute till the flour is cooked.
  • Slowly start adding the milk and keep stirring till the sauce starts thickening and also to prevent it from clumping.
  • Add the herbs, cheese, salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
  • Simmer the sauce till bubbly.
  • Adjust any seasoning as per flavor and taste.
