Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 cup wheat flour


  • 1 tbsp semolina


  • 4tbsp salt for poori and curry


  • 1 cup oil for poori and curry as well


  • 4 onions cut lenght wise i.e; vertical sling


  • 3 tomatoes in vertical sling


  • 3 Green chillies


  • 1 bunch coriander finely chopped


  • 2 tbs is of gram flour


  • 1 cup water


  • 1 tbsp tempering (urad daal, jeera, mustard)


  • 1 stem curry leaves

Directions

  • For poori
  • In a bowl add wheat flour, semolina, pinh salt and mix well
  • Now gradually add water and make a dough
  • Now make round balls and roll them with rolling pin
  • Meanwhile in a pan add oil for deep frying and let it heat
  • When oil is super hot drop rolled pooris splash oil over them, due this hot oil they will be puffed
  • For poori dough need not be rested you can use it when you finish preparing
  • For bombay curry
  • In a pan add oil and when it is heated add tempering seeds and allow to splutter
  • Now add turmeric, green chillies, curry leaves, onions and saute for a min
  • Now add tomatoes and allow them to cook till onions turn translucent
  • Now add a cup of water and allow to boil
  • After 5min in a bowl add gram flour and mix with water
  • Add this mixture to onion curry and allow to cook for a min
  • Gram.flour allows to thicken the curry
  • Now add coriander and serve with poori
